AEGIS ANNOUNCES THE COMPLETION OF EXTENSIVE REGULATORY AND CLINICAL TRAINING FOR ITS STAFF

7/24/2006 - Canoga Park, California – Becky Heinicke, Director of Caseload Management and Counseling Services, is proud to announce the completion of a regional training in Aegis’ northern and coastal clinics. The five-day training covered both clinical and regulatory matters, with specific focus on new Cal OMS and HIPAA regulations, CARF Accreditation, as well as existing Title 9 and 22 regulations. Sixty staff members attended the training, including licensed and certified personnel, as well as BBS and Board of Psychology interns. In addition to the above-mentioned subjects, Aegis clinical staff members were trained on new policies and protocols for Clinical Risk Management, Relapse Prevention, as well as the specialized services that are all key components of the newly implemented Aegis Model (see press release of 06/05/06).

Pete Petit, Director of Q.A. & Licensing stated, "This training, as well as the upcoming training in the L.A. area and central valley, well demonstrates our commitment to the quality of patient care, and keeping our staff current with 'cutting-edge' protocols. Our staff members were also introduced to the newly formalized positions of Regional Clinical Director, Clinical Specialist and Social Worker. These new positions, and their integration into our present clinics, lay the framework for the expansion of Aegis’ services beyond the traditional NTP model.” For further information on Aegis Medical Systems, Inc., please visit our website at www.aegismed.com.
