AEGIS' CHICO CLINIC SETS A NEW STANDARD FOR SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY
2/5/2008 - Chico, California, Vita Callari, Chico Clinic Manager, is proud to advise Aegis' President and Department Directors of a recent report showing all patients treated at Aegis' clinic in Chico have tested negative (i.e., clean) for any illicit drugs through the month Janunary. This unprecedented achievement represents a significant milestone in the history of the Aegis' system of clinics, and perhaps the Narcotic Treatment Program (NTP) industry as a whole.
Udi Barkai, President and C.E.O., stated, "This is the first time in Aegis' history that a clinic has been able to achieve such a high rate of clinical success. It is not an achievement that happened overnight or by mistake, it is rather the direct outcome of the implementation of the newly developed Aegis Model." He further added, "The seeds for Chico's present success began with the appointment of Arron Hightower as Chico Clinic Manager, Dr. Jeff Bisaga as Regional Clinical Director, and finally the appointment of Vita Callari as Clinic Manager, following Mr. Hightower's promotion to the corporate position of Director of Clinical Services."
Vita Callari added, "Through the above-mentioned period, the Chico clinic has been able to develop and implement specialized services, a local Patient Advisory and Advocacy Group, dedicated Keys to Recovery support groups, as well as sign internship agreements with CSU Chico, allowing for the recruitment of BBS interns for caseload manager positions. These changes have significantly upgraded the treatment environment for our patients."
