AEGIS ANNOUNCES SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS IN SUCCESS RATES
3/31/2009 - Canoga Park, California – Udi Barkai, President & C.E.O., congratulated Aegis Clinic Managers and the Department of Clinical Services for the significant improvements in patient clinical success rates and reduction in relapse rates that have been established since the implementation of the Aegis Model.
Mr. Barkai added that, “From September 2008 through February 2009, Aegis was able to track a 34% reduction in level of illicit opiate abuse in some of Aegis’ clinics, with average reduction of 19% throughout Aegis’ network of clinics (from 20.5% to 16.5%). Certain Aegis clinics also saw a 54% reduction in the use of illicit drugs, with an average of 8% for all clinics (from 26.8% to 24.7%). Not only are these precedent setting results for Aegis, and represent an enormous improvement in the lives of Aegis patients, but we believe that this level of success is likely among the best in the nation.”
Arron Hightower, Director of Clinical Services, added that, “These results can be attributed to the full implementation of the Aegis Model (for more detail please click here ). In particular, these impressive changes have resulted from Aegis’ expansion of its scope of treatment as well as the increase in the level of services. I believe that we can continue this trend, and sustain even higher levels of clinical success.”
