9/3/2003 - Sacramento, California – September 3rd. Over a dozen patients and clinic workers from Aegis Medical Systems, Inc. will be participating in the Recovery Happens Rally in hopes of educating legislators, state workers and the community on the successes of methadone therapy. Patients will be telling their own stories and sharing the realities of recovery through methadone therapy in hopes of reducing stigma and creating understanding of this very effective form of treatment.

"Our patients want to share their stories to help create a better understanding of methadone therapy," stated Lori Raff, Aegis Medical Systems Roseville Clinic Manager. "Education on methadone therapy will help reduce stigma for these patients as they celebrate their recovery."

Patients and clinicians will be participating in the Recovery Happens Rally and then meeting with their legislators' offices on substance abuse, treatment and recovery through methadone and other forms of therapy. Patients and clinicians will be available to speak with the press during the rally.
